Ben Walker is a Partner at Knight Frank and Head of Building Consultancy, MENA. With more than 20 years of international experience in building surveying and project management, he leads the firm’s building consultancy across MENA, where he has worked for the past eight years.
Ben provides technical due diligence for real estate acquisitions and advises clients throughout the asset lifecycle, from pre-acquisition assessments and project delivery to refurbishment and long-term maintenance. His expertise combines building surveying and lifecycle costing with condition assessments, cost benchmarking, contract administration and project monitoring.
He also leads project management services across MENA and provides asset optimisation and maintenance planning for commercial and residential properties. His sector experience spans hospitality and leisure, industrial and logistics, education, healthcare, offices, aviation and residential real estate. Ben is also an RICS APC Assessor.

• Advised on three of New Zealand’s largest property acquisitions and what was, at the time, Australia’s largest commercial portfolio transaction.

• Developed dilapidations advice, refurbishment strategies and maintenance forecasts designed to extend asset life and maximise investment returns.
